A recent AARP study has shown what we here at Active Aging News have know for quite sometime. People 50+ are “more active and independent, more likely to use technology, (and) more current in their attire” as they age. And online media companies are starting to pay attention. “There has been a significant improvement in how older adults are portrayed online compared to five years ago”. However, they are still missing the boat. “Despite making up over one-third of the workforce, adults 50+ at work appear in only 14% of images, virtually unchanged from 13% in 2018”.

The folks here at Active Aging News couldn’t agree more. As we progress throughout our newsletter journey, we’ll be depicting more articles of what a truly inspirational generation we are! Would you like to join the cause? Send us an interesting or inspirational picture of yourself and brief summary and we may include you in an upcoming article. Here’s to Us!
